Sharing A Bit Of Me With You...

To be able to sit back in a quiet room and hear my thoughts on the daily, coming to the conclusion that Our Heavenly Father which is in Heaven works in mysterious ways. My mind cannot began to even phantom his magnitude of grace and power. I love to see the things he does in my life and being able to recognize it is indeed him allows me to give credit where it is due. For I know after great trial and tribulation that he is the reason for every season and all things alive and breathing. I do not dare say or think that I'd be able to exist without him because he is the very reason for my existence. For he knew me before he formed me in my mother's womb. I did not become on my own, and those very trials were meant to shape and mold me. I have been washed clean in holy water, my sins burned away in holy fire, so that I rise up as a new creature. In order to truly praise The Lord your mind must be renewed and all old things have to be washed away. I sing because of him, I breath because of him, and I am because of him. For he is my light in a dark room, my pillow when I need rest, my home when I need shelter, and my warmth on a cold night. I do my best to make my temple clean so he can dwell within because I love him. Thank you Yah for creating me, may my life, journey, and purpose serve and exalt you always!

More About Me

New Orleans Louisiana born and raised on the playground is where I spent most of my days now now I’m just having fun ๐Ÿ˜with the  (Fresh Prince of Bel-air reference). But yes, I am originally from that NOLA or the Big Easy as most like to say. The St. Bernard Projects on Jumonville street apt 3721 to be exact! This was where it all began for me, learning how to ride a bike, jumping Double Dutch for the first time, celebrating Mardi Gras just about every year, and playing in the sand outside with the neighborhood kids. Now I know when people look at or even think about the projects and / or the ghetto a scrunched-up face follows, but I’m here to say, though most don’t like this place, it was home to me. I walked to school with a bunch of kids every day, got an education like ever other person, wrestled boys, played tag and Simon says, played jacks on the front porch, and turned Mardi gras beads into super cute keychains. The St. Bernard projects may have been the place I started but it was never my final destination. I left this place at the age of 12 and the rest is history. I traveled to so many amazing places over the years. My mother was determined to show us that there was way more to life than just living in the projects.

Where It All Started...

My Passion for writing started while I was in middle school. Every year we would get a summer reading list and these books helped fuel my already busy imagination. We read books like Crash, The Skin I’m In, Cleopatra IV, and were even given many opportunities to write our own stories for a class assignment. Next thing you know I had a bunch of tablets filled with stories of my own. They usually centered around finding love, (what does a 12- or 13-year-old really know about love anyway?) defeating the bad guy, vampires (this was my obsession) and mythical creatures thanks to me binge watching every single Lord of the Rings movie and crushing hard on Legolas the dreamy looking elf with the flowing blonde hair and piercing blue eyes (Heart Eye emoji). Throughout the years my hobby of writing continued off and on with my stories changing from what is listed up above to my love for Christ Jesus, learned lessons, and life events. Let’s just say my writing grew up or matured as I began to find myself and learn who I really am, and where I actually come from. So here in my humble safe space you will find poems, medical experiences, and lots of biblical truths. I invite you all the come along on this journey with me, lets laugh, learn, and cry together as we become one big family in Christ ๐Ÿ˜Š

I’ll see you all there…
